Notification Management

Standard notification
How to send notifications via Email & SMS

1. Choose a delivery method

  • Email — sends the message to each recipient’s email address (from their user profile).
  • SMS — sends a text to each recipient’s mobile number (from their profile).
  • Email + SMS (may appear as “Email + SMS” or similar) — attempts both channels for each person who has the corresponding contact saved.

2. Make sure contact details exist

  • Students, teachers, and parents must have a valid email and/or phone in the system (e.g. via Student Management or user profile).
  • If email or phone is missing, that channel may be skipped for that user while the notification can still appear inside the portal.

3. Configure Email (SMTP)

  • Open Email Notification Settings (admin) and set your mail server (SMTP), sender address, and test delivery.
  • Until email is configured and allowed for your role, messages may stay pending or only show in-app.

4. Configure SMS (if available)

  • SMS usually requires an external provider (e.g. Twilio) and API keys in your server or notification settings.
  • Check your hosting documentation or administrator — delivery also depends on credits, country rules, and correct phone format.

In-app / portal notifications are created when you submit; email and SMS are sent only if the system is configured and the recipient has the required contact details.

Same source as Exam Results → Post Result: pick class, then section, then choose one or more students (roll + name). Only students with a user account and roll number appear. Message placeholders: {student_name}, {first_name}, {last_name}, {class_name}, {section}.

Select your school / institute in the admin bar first—then class, section, and students load like on Exam Results.

Select class and section to list students.

Contact details are loaded from student records for the students you tick above (comma-separated if several).
